After a particular programme, or an
update to one that you may already have?
Here are the home pages for
some of the popular ones and a couple of libraries where you can find
heaps of files to download - you just might find that programme that you
have been looking for buried in here somewhere. This list is not
exhaustive.

Microsoft
For updates and patches to all their software, including the Office
Suites, Works, Publisher, Money, etc. Microsoft New
Zealand can also be found on the Internet.
WinFiles.com
A library of files specifically for the Microsoft Window operating
system, some of which are quite old and you may never find anywhere
else.
TUCOWS
The Ultimate Collection of Winsock Software has now branched out to
be a repository of all sorts of programmes (including a few games) for
all operating systems.
This link is to the New Zealand mirror, which
is updated frequently (as in more than once a day).
Adobe
The company that produces fonts, word processing programmes, and the
increasingly popular Adobe Acrobat Reader to enable you to read the
increasing number of .pdf files that you now find on the Internet (this
programme is a freebie).
WinZip
The programme that is used to compress files, including many which
you find on the Internet. Shareware - pay the registration free and you
get rid of the opening splash screen and get use of the few sections of
the programme that are otherwise not available.
JASC
The company that puts out the very popular and feature rich Paint
Shop Pro graphics editing programme - one of the best about, doing
almost everything that programmes five or six times the price do, just
as well, but cheaper.
