It's been altered - Why?

Because of the morons who gather e-mail addresses for the sending of spam (i.e unwanted e-mails, usually of an advertising nature) by automated means, I am now getting almost 100 unwanted e-mails a day solely because my address is on this site. All others who have their e-mail address on this site are similarly affected. Most disturbing of all with the spam, at least two or three a day are getting through with viruses attached.
To reduce this amount of unwanted spam, all email addresses on this site have been altered and the instructions on how to read/write them correctly is given here.

As a footnote, since making this change in 2003, now in 2007, I am only getting one or two a day, and these are the annoying types which have their messages in embedded images and come from the robots who send to a group of similar e-mail addresses at the same time. No viruses now either.

How to change them back

To change any e-mail address listed on this site so that it is a legitimate e-mail addresses that can be read by the e-mail delivery systems, follow these steps:

Replace the word at with the @ symbol
Remove any spaces around the @ symbol
Replace the xxx near the end of the address with a dot (fullstop/period)
Change from bold to ordinary text

As an example, you at your.place.coxxxnz becomes you@your.place.co.nz
Another example: you at your.placexxxcom becomes you@your.place.com

I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes anyone, but I am getting sick and tired of the spam trying to, among other things, sell me penis enlarging pills, viagra (and other prescription drugs), trying to set me up with dates with females (after all, I am a gay male) or trying to offer me financial services etc. which are available only in the USA and I live several thousand miles away from there, or try and get me to invest on the share market (without providing me with the money to do so).
